Is that English?

Last night Matt and I are in bed! I'm reading and he's supposed to be going to sleep while waiting on daddy to transport him to his bed. Well I guess he had some things on his mind because he starts asking me about different people and I tell them they are all at their homes and I guess that suffices for him.

Well then he asked where his grammy was and I say she's at home. He asks where his grampy is and I say at home with grammy! Well I guess I wasn't clear on it because he said "what?" I say, at home with grammy. Again he asks "huh!" Well I must be mumbling since obviously I can't get through so I try a third time. And this time his response is "is that English?" What? Who is this kid? He gets it from us though because it's what we often ask him when we can't understand what he's saying. He's clear most of the time but there are those times when he doesn't enunciate the word quite the way we would say it and we have to ask several times until we figure it out.

Oh well, I guess he is listening to us! I will try to be clearer with my English next time, lol!
